Frequently Asked Questions

General

Q: What is the benefit of purchasing from Brungot Farms instead of a big box retailer (Home Depot, Walmart, Costco, etc.)?

A: At Brungot Farms, we pride ourselves on providing the freshest trees possible. Our trees arrive just days after they’ve been cut and are transported in refrigerated trucks to help them adjust slowly to the Texas climate. Once they arrive, they are all fresh cut and immediately placed in a 6,000 gallon covered water pit. We also use a large “sun screens” to keep the trees from being sunburned from our hot Texas sun.

When the trees are moved from the water pit to being displayed, they are kept in water to ensure that they stay fresh until you’re ready to take them home. We care for each tree as if they were going into our own homes!

Brungot Farms is a small, family-owned business, based out of Cedar Park, Texas. This is our 8th year in operation. We are passionate about giving back to our community and work with several local nonprofits including Lifeworks Austin, Heroes Night Out, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Central Texas Food Bank, and Hill Country Ministries. When you purchase a Brungot Farms product, you are always helping local families as well.

We offer several purchase and delivery options for your convenience. We have an annual presale where you can purchase your Christmas tree/wreath and other products before they are available and we always offer a discount code for a limited time for our new and returning customers. We offer Porch Drop delivery, as well as In-Home Set-up. Click here to learn more about our delivery options.

For the 2021 season, we are bringing in over 2,600 trees, the most we have ever had! We worked closely with our partner farms to ensure that we would have a good selection to offer in both height and quality.

Christmas Trees

Q: How does the presale work?

A: We offer a presale option to ensure that you have the opportunity to reserve your preferred tree height. This is especially important if you are looking for a tree that is 10 feet tall or taller. Once the trees arrive, you have the option of coming to our Twin Lakes YMCA location in Cedar Park and selecting your tree. At that point, we’ll fresh cut your tree, bail it, and place it on or in your car and you’re all set! You also have the option of upgrading or downgrading your tree once you arrive at our location. We understand that choosing a Christmas tree is about more than just the height and real trees can be just as diverse as the people choosing them! If you find a tree that is taller or shorter than the tree that you pre-purchased, you can simply pay the difference or we will happily refund the difference, respectively.

We can also pick out your tree for you, if you’d prefer. If this is the case, please let us know what day and approximately what time you’ll be coming to the lot to pick up your tree and we’ll have it cut, bailed, and ready for you. When you call or email to tell us what day and time you’ll be arriving, we’ll also ask a few questions about your preferences to ensure that we pick out a tree that you’ll love.

Finally, you can also pre-purchase delivery along with your tree. If you indicate on your order that you’d like your tree delivered, we will be in contact about a week before the trees arrive to schedule your delivery date and time. You can also add an order note with this information, as well as your tree preferences. If you’d like to pick out your tree and have it delivered, you can do that too! Simply let us know when you arrive at the lot that you pre-ordered and are choosing your tree for delivery. We’ll be able to tag your tree and set it aside until your delivery date.

Q: What types of trees do you have?

A: We specialize in Frasier Firs (3-13+ ft) from North Carolina. For the 2021 season, we’re also offering a limited selection of Noble Firs (6-8 ft).

Q: Where do the trees come from?

A: North Carolina and Oregon for the few Nobles we will have this year.

Q: How much do your trees cost?

A: They are priced based on size, with the smallest starting at $29.95 (3 ft tabletops) all the way up to $500+  for 12ft and taller. Click here to view our products and pricing.

Q: How do I care for the tree?

A: Water it at least twice a day, making sure that the stand is always at least half full; no additional care is needed. The most important thing is to make sure that the water bowl never runs dry. If the tree stump dries out, it forms a “sap seal”, which means that the tree will no longer drink water, no matter how much you give it, unless the tree gets another fresh cut. Remember, our trees are used to a colder climate and higher elevation. As a result, when they arrive in Texas, they can get very thirsty!

Q: How do I get the tree home?

A: We have twine available so you can strap it to your car and we also offer delivery. Due to our liability coverage policy, we are not able to tie your tree to your car, but we can place on/in your car and are happy to provide guidance/suggestions. Q: Do you sell tree stands?

A: Yes we do! Click here to be redirected to our tree stand product page.

Q: Do you flock trees?

A: Not at this time, but we can offer ideas for flocking your own tree. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Wreaths

Q: How are the wreaths made?

A: The wreaths that are available during the very beginning of the season are made at the same farm where our trees are grown in North Carolina. Most are primarily made with Frasier Firs, but some have a mixture of greens including spruce, pine, and cypress. Once our trees arrive, we begin making our own wreaths. We make wreaths everyday to ensure that your wreaths are as fresh as possible! Feel free to stop by our Twin Lakes YMCA location to watch the wreath-making process anytime that we are open!

Q: How do I care for my wreath?

A: Use a spray bottle to spray it with water twice a day; no additional care is needed.

Q: Where do the bows come from?

A: We get bows from Emilie’s Christmas Bows in New Hampshire. This is a small local business, near where our founder Aaron Brungot grew up. Emilie handmakes each bow with love and her craftsmanship is apparent with every bow!

Q: Do you deliver wreaths?

A: Yes! If you order a wreath along with your tree delivery order, we will deliver the wreath(s) at the same time that we deliver your tree for no extra cost. If you’re interested in getting a wreath delivered on it’s own, please contact us for pricing and scheduling.
